Ana Paula Vaz-Fernandes holds an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oporto University, Portugal (1994), a Master in Science Public Health from University of Coimbra (1998) and a Doctorate on Biology (speciality in Microbiology) from the New University of Lisbon (2008), Portugal. She is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology Slot PG at Universidade Aberta (UAb), Portugal and a senior researcher at CAPP – Centre for Public Administration & Public Policies from the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon, Portugal and she also collaborates with the e-learning Laboratory of UAb (LE@D). She is the vice-coordinator of the B.Sc. programme on Environmental Sciences and former vice-coordinator of the Master Program in Sciences of Food Comsumption, UAb(2011-2014).
