The webinar “Sustainable development and all the relevant stakeholders: the role of global policy on environment and sustainability in defining stakeholders over the last 50 years” will be held on May 20, 2021, at 5 pm, via Zoom
The event organized by Researchers Rui M. Sá and Cecilia Veracini is within the scope of the research line ATEGINA (Environment and Anthropocene Narratives). Dr. Lucilla Spini (Bio – Anthropologist, Fondazione Fratelli Rosselli, Florence) is the guest speaker of the webinar.
Recently the term “stakeholder” has become a buzzword within the framework of global policy on environment and sustainability, as also exemplified by the repeated occurrence of the word in several UN documents (e.g., “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”). On the other hand, there is no clarity on its meaning. Such an excursus is intended to encourage a discussion on how to better define and interpret the term “stakeholder” in order to foster inclusion, diversity, and transnational governance for sustainable development.
